Why Felicity Yoga?
A Biography by my best friend, Lara Woods:
After several years working long days and late nights as a solicitor in The City, Felicity realised that her life had lost its balance. Her energy levels were at rock bottom, her sense of self had been depleted and she felt empty and unfulfilled. After a long struggle with depression, she took the brave decision to wave goodbye to her hectic London existence and legal career and embrace a simpler, less stressful life somewhere off the beaten track where she eventually set up Felicity Yoga.

Felicity and her husband Neil moved from the Portobello Road in Notting Hill to Stoke Row in South Oxfordshire in 2013 and Felicity’s life-long wanderlust inspired her to become a travel writer, sharing her journeys, insights and experiences with others. She is also a keen photographer, capturing life’s moments through a lens. This change of lifestyle enabled her to reconnect with herself and spend more time with her loved ones.
Yoga played a powerful part in this recalibration. During her healing from depression, she discovered the incredible, transforming nature of yoga and became a keen devotee and practitioner. When Felicity fell pregnant she further discovered the restorative effect that yoga could have, keeping her changing body active and allowing her mind freedom.
Felicity has spent many years practicing yoga under the supervision of Marie Groucott; yoga teacher, doula and friend. In 2017, Felicity’s love of yoga encouraged her to train to be a pregnancy yoga teacher with Sally Parkes and set up Felicity Yoga, a small, intimate practice focusing on pregnancy yoga and mother & baby yoga. She is passionate about sharing yoga with others and helping bring calm and balance to their lives, as she has tried to bring to hers.
